Anthropologists take a broad approach to study human beings and many different aspects of human experience by considering the past and the present. There are many subfields of anthropology, some of them being archaeology, biological anthropology, cultural anthropology, and linguistic anthropology.

Archaeology is the scientific and orderly study of human cultures through the recovery, analysis and documentation of material remains and environmental data, like artifacts, seals, inscriptions, monuments, edifices, landscapes and bio-facts. Most of archaeologists in India work in the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) in its exploration, excavation, epigraphy, pre-history and museum branches (for these jobs, the ASI diploma is a must) for the conservation and maintenance of the 3,600 centrally protected sites and monuments, chemical preservation of antiquarian remains and the organization and maintenance of site museum, and publications among other things.

Development studies is an interdisciplinary branch of social sciences. This is majorly emerging in the third world countries where they have topics and domains to cover under developmental studies. Developmental studies is a theoretical, inclusive and soul searching enterprise. The primary focus of developmental studies is to study the improvement in people’s life. It helps you get insight into developmental theory, understanding of the structural issues and questions of development. Graphology discipline is based on the scientific method of conclusions drawn on common sense, universal concepts, psychological interpretations and empirical research.  Graphologists get a glimpse into person subconscious mind through handwriting analysis and provide insight into one’s character, temperament, the present state of mind, likes and dislikes, strengths, weakenesses, fears and future potential, even if only a few words are scribbled hurriedly on a piece of paper. They are also skilled at analysing one’s signatures and interpretating personality.

Historians study about the past. Their typical job activities include gathering historical data from numerous sources, holding research on historical information, providing advice or guidance on historical topics, as well as writing reports, articles and books on historical findings and theories. A degree in history supports the development of various significant skills like documentation, argumentation, writing and research.

Home Science is both a science and an art related multi-disciplinary field of study involving biology, chemistry, physics, physiology, hygiene, economics, rural development, child development, sociology and family relations, community living, art, nutrition, textiles and home management. Instructional Designing involves creating instructional experiences which facilitate the acquisition of knowledge and skill more efficiently, effectively and in a more appealing manner. It involves identifying the needs of the learner, defining the purpose of instruction and developing efficient learning experiences to meet the purpose. Typically, an instructional designer create blueprints for a training course for corporations/ government, design e-learning and online courses and develop learning tools for educational institutions

Museology involves managing and administrating museums. Museology includes aspects of archeology, history, research and archiving. As a Museologist, you can work in museums, the work profile includes the combination of research, administration, and public relations. You can work both in the private/government sectors, museums, and galleries.
